A website for a one-on-one Muay Thai and boxing gym in Beirut
The Stubborns is a Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing club in Raouche, Beirut, run by Hussein Ghaddar, who fought for years in Thailand's promotions and is a certified rehabilitation trainer. The club does one thing: private coaching, no group classes. The site had to say that in the first second and get a first-timer to book a free session without a phone call.
We designed a single scrolling homepage in the club's own register: condensed uppercase headlines, warm black and fight red, the head coach cut out against the gym's own video loop, and real fight photography instead of stock. Every section, from programs to coaches to FAQ, ends in the same two moves: book online, or tap WhatsApp.
Pricing you can read, and a first session that costs nothing
Pricing sits on the page in full: single sessions, monthly packs of 4, 8 and 12, and a bring-a-partner rate on every tier, with no joining fee and no contract. Payment is cash at the gym or Whish, which is how Beirut actually pays. The free first session is the offer everywhere, from the hero card to the closing section.
A client portal that runs the gym's bookings
Behind the marketing site is a portal we built for members and coaches. Clients sign up with a phone number (no SMS, no email confirmation), buy session packs, refill by Whish, and book by picking a time first, then a coach who is free at that hour. A four-hour cancellation rule refunds sessions automatically, and two-on-one sessions draw from a pool shared between partners.
Coaches get their own tools: create a client on the spot with a four-digit claim code, block a day off on a tap-to-block week calendar, and get a Telegram alert for every booking, cancellation and refill. The portal installs to the home screen like an app.
What shipped
A static Astro site on Vercel, built for speed and search, with scroll motion, a WhatsApp lead path, and a Supabase-backed portal with client, coach and admin roles, covered by an automated test suite. Gym and studio websites like this are part of our web design service, from $1,000. A booking portal is scoped as an add-on.
